Peter Cushing’s Toy Soldiers

I saw this a few years ago, but it seems to be doing the rounds again in a few of the Facebook groups that I frequent. This is a profile of Peter Cushing, focusing on his hobby of toy soldiers. The game he plays is Little Wars, and it was genuinely called “a game for boys from twelve years of age to one hundred and fifty and for that more intelligent sort of girl who likes boys’ games and books” by the game’s creator, Mr. H. G Wells. Yes, that H. G. Wells. If you are interested, you can find the rules by clicking here to visit Project Gutenberg.

I have never considered my gameplay to be solemn and conscientious.
