Welp, my tiny boats arrived, which was a surprise in itself given my prior experience with Wayland Games’ less than sterling service. Last night, I spent an hour or two putting together the first set, which is the League of Italian States Naval Battle Group. Here is the fleet as it stands:
The fleet is looking good. The resin was a pleasure to work with and the metal was, as ever, an embuggerance. I’m not sure if that’s a word, but I’m going with it. If Shakespeare can make up words, then so can I! I mean, come on, bubble? What kind of word is that?
The next step for this set is spray-priming. I have not chosen a colour yet, but I am leaning towards white. I also have the other two sets to build, but my priority was to get the ships done as I really consider those the core of the fleet.
I also hope to get an intro game or two in at the local club to get my head around exactly how the game works and how my fleet functions within it.
More pics as things develop!
