Colourful ConundrumFebruary 15, 2016
It’s not raining! It’s not windy! Holy crap! Great chance to get some spray-painting done, isn’t it?
Well, it would be if I knew what to paint. I could respray my Legion of Everblight with a coat of red, now that I have settled on a colour scheme for them. That would be good. What else? Infinity! I have those Aleph to spray. The Aleph starter set has some lovely, beautiful models in it and I am really looking forward to getting them done…
The only little obstacle here is my utter indecision over a colour scheme. I have pretty much decided that I will be basing my Aleph on one of two character from the anime series, Neon Genesis Evangelion. They will be based on either Rei or Asuka. They will be white with purple, or red with yellow.
I am really bad at making these decisions, and I have turned around and repainted models in the past because of this. The white and purple appeals to me because I think it will look quite clean and elegant, which does suit the Aleph. On the other hand, I haven’t done a lot of red and am keen to give it a go. I’m not worried about the yellow parts of the models, as I was happy with my last attempt at yellow in my Pro Elf team for Blood Bowl:
It would need brightened up a little for this, but that is doable. I will probably do the hair the same way, as I’ve found that Infinity models to suit outlandish hair colours. Like orange? Who has ever heard of someone with orange hair? Hah!
Whichever I go with, I will put some photos up once they are sprayed. Looking back at it, this is really less of a blog post and more of a masterclass in procrastination…
